Flow Can Now Wait for the Outside World

Flow Can Now Wait for the Outside World

Updated on

Updated on

This release is about confidence and connection. LendAPI v3.2.9 lets your flows talk to the outside world in both directions, gives you an instant undo button for every builder on the platform, and makes the moment an application pauses for your team feel intentional to your borrowers. Along the way, contracts get easier to preview and print, and forms get smarter.

Flows that talk to your systems — and wait for the reply

New feature: Send and Wait webhooks in Flow Builder

Real lending rarely lives in one system. A manual review happens in another tool. A partner has to approve. A document comes back from somewhere else. Until now, your flow had no clean way to hand off and wait.

Flow Builder now has two new webhook steps. Send webhook pushes the data you choose from your flow to any outside system, and the flow carries on right away without waiting. Wait for webhook does the opposite: the flow pauses and holds its place until the other system calls back. You get a unique callback link to hand over, and when the answer arrives, the data flows straight into your flow, which picks up exactly where it left off.

You set a maximum wait time. If nothing arrives in that window, the flow takes a separate path instead of hanging forever, so no application gets stuck.

Anything that depends on an outside decision can now live inside one flow, with no manual follow-up. We've also added a new Condition step so you can branch a flow on your own criteria.

A better wait when your team takes over

Improvement: Choose where the applicant goes during an agent handoff

When an application reaches a page your team fills in, you can now choose exactly where the applicant is sent while they wait, instead of leaving them on a generic screen. Once your team finishes, the applicant is routed back into the flow automatically.

It completes the agent-page capability introduced last release, and it makes the handoff feel planned from the borrower's side.

Contracts, documents, and smarter forms

Improvement: Preview, number, and upload

Preview before you generate. Agents can see exactly how a PDF or HTML contract will look before committing to a version. Page numbering adds "Page X of Y" to contracts, which matters for anything printed, mailed, or filed. And agents can now upload documents directly to an application, alongside the signed-contract upload added previously.

Improvement: Conditional validation on variables

Variables now support rules that apply based on what the applicant has already entered, rather than the same check every time. Applicants see fewer irrelevant errors, and the form adapts as they fill it in.

Everything else in this release

  • More consistent permissions. We refined access across a wide range of screens so what each role can see and do lines up everywhere — tightening places where view-only access allowed too much, and restoring access where it was blocked unnecessarily.

  • Dialogs keep your input on errors instead of closing and discarding what you typed.

  • Cleaner logout. A confusing access error on idle-session logout is gone.

  • More readable forms. Placeholder text stays legible across a wider range of background colors.

  • Communications tab unread indicator now behaves properly.

  • Reliable credit data. We corrected a credit-data processing issue so tradeline and tier information is published on every pull.

  • Plaid consumer-report retrieval fixed, plus assorted fixes to Product Studio, contract builder layout, publishing speed, tenant details, and UI polish.
