About the Role:
As a Product Designer at LendAPI, you’ll design intuitive, user-centered interfaces that make complex financial processes seamless and engaging, with a primary focus on our core LendAPI product experience. This is a remote role based in India, working cross-functionally with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders across the US and India. You’ll collaborate closely with the founding team, influence product direction, and help shape a best-in-class experience for lenders and borrowers using LendAPI.
What You Will Do:
Design end-to-end, user-friendly interfaces for web and mobile applications, from low-fidelity flows to polished UI, ensuring a seamless user experience for lenders and borrowers.
Run user research and usability studies (interviews, prototype tests, heuristic reviews, surveys) and synthesize insights into clear design decisions and product recommendations.
Create detailed wireframes, interactive prototypes, and production-ready, high-fidelity designs using Figma and Framer as your primary tools.
Build advanced interactive prototypes and micro-interactions in Framer to communicate product behavior, animations, and transitions.
Maintain, evolve, and document LendAPI’s design system (components, tokens, interaction patterns) to ensure consistency across all product surfaces.
Support marketing and GTM efforts with landing pages, visuals, and occasional product storytelling assets (one-pagers, decks, launch visuals) using Figma/Framer and related tools.
Create or art-direct basic illustrations, icons, and visual elements that align with LendAPI’s brand, and partner with external creatives when needed.
Perform design QA on implemented experiences by reviewing development output, identifying UI/UX defects, inconsistencies, and usability issues, and partnering with engineering to ensure high-quality execution.
About You:
3–6 years of experience in product design, UI/UX design, or a closely related role, ideally working on SaaS or B2B products.
Advanced to expert proficiency in Figma (components, variants, design systems, auto layout, prototyping) and Framer (interactive prototypes, animations, micro-interactions).
Strong interaction and visual design skills, with attention to typography, hierarchy, spacing, and accessibility.
Experience collaborating with engineers in a fast-paced product environment, including handing off specs and iterating based on implementation feedback.
Comfortable working with marketing or growth teams to create landing pages, visuals, and other marketing materials tied to product launches.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to explain your design decisions clearly to cross-functional partners.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in HCI, Interaction Design, Product Design, Visual Communication, or a related field
Bonus:
Skills in motion design, video editing, or creating short product walkthroughs / demos
Hands-on experience planning and conducting user research and usability testing
