Jim is a rising engineer from California State University, Fullerton, majoring in Computer Science with a minor in Business Data Analytics. He joins LendAPI with a strong foundation in backend systems, frontend frameworks, and a clear passion for building scalable, real-world applications. From developing a full-stack productivity tool, TaskBuddy, to building his own React-based portfolio, Jim brings both technical depth and creative drive to our engineering team.

At LendAPI, we’re deeply committed to helping students from across Southern California gain hands-on industry experience that prepares them for today’s highly competitive job market. By providing mentorship, exposure to modern product development workflows, and opportunities to work on real-time infrastructure, we aim to close the gap between classroom learning and real-world problem-solving.

“LendAPI is rooted in the belief that investing in young talent is investing in the future of fintech. Jim represents the curiosity, persistence, and capability we admire in the next generation of software engineers. We’re thrilled to have him join us this summer.”
Timothy Li, Co-Founder & CEO of LendAPI

For Jim, this internship is more than just a summer opportunity—it's a chance to dive deeper into scalable fintech systems while working alongside a team committed to building thoughtful, compliant, and efficient APIs.

“Joining LendAPI is an exciting next step in my journey. I’m eager to learn from such a talented engineering team and contribute to products that help modernize the financial ecosystem. I’m especially looking forward to applying what I’ve learned in school to solve real-world challenges.”
