We’re thrilled to welcome Ayan Jhunjhunwala to LendAPI as our Software Engineering Intern for Summer 2025! Ayan joins us from the University of California, Irvine, where he is pursuing a degree in Computer Science and Statistics. With research experience in machine learning, large language model (LLM) quantization, and medical NLP, Ayan brings a unique blend of technical expertise and intellectual curiosity to our growing engineering team.
Ayan’s passion for applying cutting-edge AI to real-world challenges aligns perfectly with our mission to power smarter credit decisions through technology. At LendAPI, he will be working closely with our product and engineering teams to improve infrastructure for our Decision Engine and enhance our API-first developer experience.
From his work at the Junchen Research Group to earning first place at the University of Washington’s “Fear Less Tech More” Challenge, Ayan has consistently demonstrated his ability to innovate at the intersection of AI and impact.
Reflecting on the opportunity, Ayan shared:
