When we ventured out to build the LendAPI platform, compliance was always at the center of every part of the software. From our Product Studio to our Rule Engine, traceability, logging and versioning is at the heart of everything we stand for.
In our platform release v2.9.2, we’ve further enhanced an important part of our platform which is the contract management section of our system. Each one of our customers require their applicants to e-sign a contract, a promissory note or some sort of legal agreement to agree to the financial product they’ve been approved for. The contract management is going through a major upgrade today and we are calling it Contract Builder 2.0.
We’ve launched a landing page dedicated to Contract Builder 2.0, you can pay a visit and learn more about this upgrade, here. Separately, we wrote a love letter for why we are making an upgrade to our contract builder, and you can read the letter here.
This week we’ve been busy getting our current clients launched. Several new and existing clients are going into production and we are very excited about seeing these clients launch and start minting loans next week.
We’ve also signed a number of new clients as well and we are heads down to get the system ready for them coming on board. In the coming weeks, we will release a brand new Agent View 2.0 which will provide more insightful information about the application as well as setting up the framework for future features such as two way texting between our lenders and their clients.
We have several new members joining our team and we’ve written welcome letters to all of them, you can take a look at these fine individuals in our blog page. We want to welcome each of them individually to LendAPI. Our team is growing to serve a bigger client base and a more complex platform.

LendAPI Platform Release Notes - v2.9.2
Contract Builder - Updates
We’ve enhanced our Contract Builder feature to allow for multiple signatures for any type of contract you’ve liked to build. It is fully customizable and feature rich, we can’t wait for you to try it out.
There is a new UI for you to add multiple signers right inside of the contract builder mechanism. You can program as many as you like and design the signature routing right inside of the Contract Builder.
We have a brand new right-side panel for you to customize and control more aspects of the contracts and multiple signature design and routing.
There are new controls and toggles to manage signatures requirements. We also have a brand new version control for each contract generated as part of our Contract Builder 2.0 overhaul.
The contract template builder now has even more functionalities for you to build more features into your contract. We also have new ways to manage the publications of your contracts as well, conforming to our overall platform design.
We also have a brand new contract listing view for you to keep an eye on all of the contracts you’ve created at various stages. We’ve created new Signature Type variables to store signatures and time stamps.
We’ve created a new way to modify each contract with new ways to insert dynamic various inside of each contract. We’ve also created a new way to tag variables by typing the name of the variable directly into the editor as opposed to using the variable selector.
We have a new Publish button right inside of the editor to conform to our overall design and making publishing a new contract easier and more intuitive. This new publishing path also triggers new contract version control.
Product Studio - Updates
Allow users to change the name of the Call-to-Action button at the end of each page. Instead of the static “Continue” button, you can name it with a custom name of your choice.
We’ve enhanced the Autopay Widget to be in sync with our Amortization Widget, especially around turning auto pay on or off which affects the Amortization Widget.
We’ve moved the client logo setting from Global Setting to the Studio Theme section of the Product Studio.
We’ve synced active States in the Model Studio to be in sync with the Product Studio State drop down list to avoid confusion.
General Platform - Updates
The name of the attachment in email templates now reflect the name of the document as opposed to the type of the document. The name of the attachment can also be edited by the user.
We’ve created Guided Tours for each of our Product, Rules and Pricing Engine. These guide tours will help our clients using the platform for the very first time to get an understanding of how to use these features.
We’ve also created a Guided Tour for clients logging into the platform for the very first time. This will give them a three step welcome guide to give new users a sense of belonging.
We’ve added more data syncing features between Production and Sandbox Mode. Now Pricing, Product and Rules Studio data are all syncing along with Integrated Partner settings.
Integrated Partners - Updates
We’ve added the PDF transformation API from Equifax’s Commercial Bureau. This PDF transformation API will render the content of the commercial bureau into a human readable PDF format.
We’ve also done some spring cleaning of our integrated partners page to clearly label each partner and the sections they belong to. We’ve also sorted the Integrated Partners in the Model Studio by alphabetical order.
What’s Next?
We are still working aggressively to launch our Application 2.0 or Agent View 2.0. There are a ton of features coming to our platform including two way texting and telephony integration with Five9.
We are extremely excited about the up and coming model hosting features as well and we would like to give our lenders even more flexibility when it comes to controlling your PMML and Pickle files from Python.
